KINGSTON 2000
The Family Reunion of Your Lifetime!

                   Miramichi River

On the first weekend of August on the year 2000 A.D., you are invited to a family reunion along a tributary of the North West Miramichi River.

If your great grand father, grand father or father was Sam Kingston, and your great grandmother, grandmother or mother was Lillian Kingston, you are invited!  (DNA blood tests not required for admission however if your heritage is in doubt, your moose calling abilities will be evaluated.)

Kingston Settler - Late 1860's

The connection between Kingstons and Moose is a story of great folklore, one of many to be explored during your stay.

The following is a picture of Mary Leslie's lodge (surrounded by 12 acres with nice fields and trees for tenting, sleeping under the stars, etc.) where the reunion is being held - just a half hour drive from the city of Miramichi.

In case of inclement weather, lean-to's and such can be easily erected on the property.

Checking out the spot out during "Planning 2000 98" - an event held this past summer.

The river is very beautiful as it flows by the property.

If you would enjoy the thought of fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon, a world class salmon pool rests only inches from the shore.

Sam Kingston - 1939 - a disappointing day at the pool.

Or, maybe you would prefer to have us whisk you up river for a relaxing five mile float down the river....

There will definitely be no shortage of deep discussions!

Tom and his uncle Aloysious Kingston debate current issues facing Catholicism.

There is a large beautiful outside fire place where some cooking can be done. The Lodge and area are reserved for the period containing the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August. Come early!  The main event would be on the second weekend - the August holiday weekend.  By the way, it would be better for each family to bring their own stove,

Ray Ritchie says, "Yah!  I am ready for the reunion!"

You are reminded to bring fly dope, however as the hot hazy days of August come undone, flies will be much less of a nuisance at this time of year.

Organizers are also taking care of life's necessities like the convenience of porta potties on site. There will be also be lots of fire wood as we gather around those crackling campfires and discuss things like...
