It has been many years since I visited the Miramichi at spring time. As anticipated, the river was really high. The Big Rock was no where to be found. This was the view last week off our deck at Craigs. Down steam to the left, you can make out people fishing salmon along the bank.
I managed to land three fish, this one is a grilse (small salmon) which was only a couple of pounds.
....
Aside from fishing, there was the eating. Every night it seemed there was a special dinner of some sort - much as the result of my mothers birthday and with Uncle George's soon to come. (Mother says they used to celebrate them together in early years.)

Dinner # 3 - Leslie's House
(The food was great!)
Lots
of salmon and home made mayo!
A few pounds heavier, and seven days later, it was time to head back. It was a swell visit and a special thank you to George and Stephanie and the Leslie's for their gracious hospitality.
