HAVE
A GREAT SUMMER!
Have we make a
fresh month? Hello, what is the weather like in your country? North
Willie, South Kingston, East Brenda,West Ann Marie. Wet in the Glencoe
area. Love Aunt Patty.
Hi Aunt Patty,
We had a complete whiteout last week, but since then we've been having sunny weather. The sun gets up at 4:55am and rests around 10:15pm ...It really doesn't get dark anymore.
I haven't seen or heard any robins yet. It is funny that no one I know watches out for them..... it must be a family thing.
Cheers, Will
Hi everyone:
We have had a
wet spring, Aunt Patty....but this week is a bit better temperature wise.....our
magnolia tree is in bloom as are the daffodils...you know, Will, I was
thinking this year that robins just don't seem as plentiful as they used
to be...I wonder if it is a sign of what we humans are doing to this old
Earth...we are hauling manure (cowshit!) tonight, getting ready for another
gardening season...Happy Spring to everyone!
Love,
Brenda
Easy answer - robins are in basic training with pigeons in bombing vehicles in my neighborhood with crap (no one pigeon could be doing this much damage! On the plus side, this has heightened my efforts to clean out my garage to get the vehicles away from such carnage). There are tons of them around (with some blue jays and cardinals interspersed).
Center wise in
Ottawa it is an odd spring (sometimes hot and sometimes cold). Much
like the Senators....
Am running in
a half marathon this weekend (21.5 kms) - actually think I can get it done
in 2h00 to 2h15. Am considering trying duathlons (bike and run) later
in the summer if I can get my act together and train. Great stress
reliever (but somewhat of a pain inducer in terms of pulled muscles and
sore joints).
Family is well and busy with various activities and school events. Looking forward to visits from Mike Kingston and Joann Kingston Reichers (with their families) this summer and fall respectively. My sympathy for the loss of your uncle John V.

Happy Mother’s Day
Enjoy the day all of you MOMS.
Jayson graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Theology, 2 weeks ago. Sam and Kathy are planning a wedding for June 28, 2003.
The weather has decided to humour us out west—it will be 19 degrees today, which will get rid of the 18 inches of snow we received on Monday. I’m definitely tired of the winter and hope it won’t snow again until December, but you never know.
I’m off to Vancouver
for the long weekend to visit Mike and Tom Kingston.
Good Luck John.
Keep us posted on how things go.....ME

Hi everyone,
I am just back today after several days travelling to and from a family wedding (Ritchie) in the Laurentiens. It was a beautiful outside wedding by a lake of Ray's nephew and a woman from East Germany. The girls travelled very well and we are now thinking we can start to look beyond Moncton for family trips.
The weather sure
has improved here in a few days. My tulips finally came up over the
weekend. Summer is finally coming! Take Care....ME
John you are slipping.
It is a NEW month. Where is the new picture? Like rain drops,
we are sure getting lots in Ontario. Love Patty.
Thank you , John,
that is enough Water. All is great. Love Aunt Patty.
Father Louis Kingston, a Holy Cross Priest was son of Cornelius Kingston and Katharine OShea.
Cornelius Kingston was a brother to my father Samuel Kingston who married Lillian I Loggie.
Three sons of Cornelius and Kate's family became Holy Cross Priests :- Fr Paul now deceased. Fr Louis died Tuesday morning and Fr Con (Cornelius) living.
Fr. Louis was
fly fishing Atlantic Salmon on Tuesday morning, had caught and landed a
salmon, and he apparently had a heart attack and died as a result.
He loved to fly fish and hunt partridge.
Hi John: Your
mom and Father Louis are first cousins...Father Louis visited briefly with
Mom and Dad on Monday night after fishing for awhile....hadn't made up
his mind whether he was going to go again on Tuesday morning or not....I
guess he decided to try it....at the head of Edwin Brown's field where
he often fished. I understand that people across the river at a camp
(Sterling Johnston and company) saw a man lying on the shore and well,
you know the remainder....I didn't really know him well but many people
treasured him and we can all understand his love for the wonderful Miramichi
River.
Love to all,
Brenda
I understand that
Fr. Lous would be your and my 1st cousin, once removed -- close enough
for me to get bereavement leave to attend the funeral.
Well, I am off
to the North West Miramichi for the month of July. I am officially
resigned here in New York, I still don't know if I am off to Toronto and
I now get to graduate to the position of being a temporarily unemployed
Miramichier who gets to fly fish everyday. Anyhow, the fun begins
by having to drive I-95 for about 12 hours....:) Until we meet again
and my computer is re-assembled somewhere! JV
p.s...thanks
in advance to our "silent" editor Tom Kingston for keeping the script blue.
And Tom, one more thing. How about trying to stir things up and get
some action here on the Gill Net?? 20 people a day come by and how
about a little entertainment!
Hi all,
I am not on vacation
as of yet, but the girls are having a great time lazing around. Erin
Rawlinson (Mary & Ed's daughter) has taken on the challenge of babysitting
Rebecca and Katie-Rose two days a week, so they get a break from the day
care scene. They are having a great time. I know Erin has had
her share of traumatizing events with my dear daughters including Katie-Rose
sticking two pieces of macaroni up her nose on the first day and refusing
to give them up. AH, the sweet little things! ha!
Hi All:
I check the site every so often and saw all the recent traffic so am dropping you all a line. Nice and warm in the Annapolis Valley; finally. Our spring was not much to speak of this year.
School is out for Cathy and we are planning a couple of weeks vacation in July. Another trip to the Miramichi will be in order to check on the folks in Wayerton.
Happy Canada Day everyone. We are getting ready for fireworks Monday night. They launch them in a pasture directly across the river from our house. We will be setting up chairs down by the bank of the river in our backyard so we feel like we are in the middle of them.
Take care.

Hi everyone,
Let's get some activity on this site. I need it for stress relief during the day. What are you doing for fun this summer?
