I went for another walk today and took some pictures.
Today's walk was to visit my brother Mike and his new dog, Sara.

Any pictures from
Aunt Eleanor's award yesterday?
I took a few pictures during the ceremony and at the house party. Mom was very honoured to receive the award. She received congratualtions from a lot of people.
65 people came for supper at our house so I was a tad busy just keeping the food and drinks going. It was a great time. Dad really enjoyed himself as well. I told him he might as well live it up because it wasn't going to make any difference at this point. Typical to Kingston style, he was philosophizing quite a bit through the evening. Dad has us booked for another party in July. He wants us to host a CI Road Block party around his birthday. He will be definiately be back up to speed by then and able to really enjoy himself.
Allie, glad you
had a good time at the party. We will be thinking and praying for
you on Teusday. I know and you will be as good as new in know time.
Love Patty.
Hi all,
It is 8:25am here
and Dad has been in surgery since 8:00am. They expect that he will
be out by noon. Mom says that he will be out of it until tomorrow.
Please keep the positive thoughts and prayers flowing....ME
-29 with windchill of -40 - too cold to do anything but curl up and watch curling--LOL
Mary Ellen, I
hear your Dad is doing okay after 5 by-passes, and home Sunday. Good
News all around for your family.
Happy International
Womens Day,
AM
Thanks for this
forwarding this Aunt Patty. My sentiments exactly! John
Hi all,
We spent the latter part of last week and the weekend in Saint John. Dad is still in hospital. His heart will not keep the proper rhythm. The doctors have ordered an increase in his meds. He is definitely having a hard time staying in a confined area. Mom is having a hard time as well as he wants her with him all the time. I know I got pretty claustrophobic myself after a few hours there.
On a positive
note, his colour is good and he is healing well. He is off a lot
of the tubes including oxygen. Everyone is hopeful that he will come
home today or tomorrow.
Hi Mary Ellen et al:
My thoughts are with you. I am sure Aloysius must be going bonkers in there. He will persevere though....he is tough and resilient....no doubt about that. I hope that he is now back on the Miramichi.
This winter has been a long one but the only way of dealing with it is to get out in it...it has been a great winter for cross country skiing and I, for one, am happy about that. Please, no snowballs.
Take care each
and everyone,
Love to all,
Brenda
Congratulations
John. The website looks great! It's wonderful to see entrepreural
spirit.
Remember at 7 PM tonight (Sunday) light a candle for peace and join with people around the world in this show of solidarity. Put a light for peace in the window of your home or find a vigil and attend.
Peace everyone,
Brenda
ERIN GO BRATH:
HAPPY ST. PATRICK ONE AND ALL.
Happy St Pats Day to all the Kingston Clan. I got a St Pat's Day greeting from Irene Loggie and she tells me that George and Bill are coming along, glad to hear that. Al I hope you are feeling better.
70* F in Boston today, we deserve it after this winter. I am going to the Red Sox Spring Training in Ft. Myers Fla tomorrow, with 3 other retired teachers. Hope to get in some golf and fishing as well.
I hope Mr Bush doesn't ruin the day, in about an hour from now, when he addresses the nation. I feel Canada has the right idea on this issue. I hope it is a quick war.
Keep Praying For
Peace Fred Quinn
This war is certainly making for a very sad world. The fall of Bagdad may well take a few thousand lives.
Walmart was saying today North American sales have plummeted in recent days as the result of what they call the "CNN Syndrome". Everybody staying away from spending money and watching T.V. The effects of this war are so far reaching in so many ways.
Have decided to head for the Miramichi in a few weeks to try my luck at landing a few black salmon when the ice goes out. Looking forward to getting away from the concrete and sirens of the city for a while.
Peace on earth.
John
Hello All, our
days have been glued to watching CNN. It is interesting discussion
with Erin and Amy re: politics of war, and to hear how they see this unfolding.
Erin has been accepted at Mount Allison, and UPEI, still waiting to hear
from University of Kings College. She will be leaving home in September,
can you imagine? John it has been a beautiful day here, snow has
been melting all week. We all have dates for when the NW Miramichi
river will go out, and the person winning wins $2.00. Want in?
In just 3 weeks it is EASTER. Robins and blackbirds are here, and
the crows have been courting for over two weeks. Spring is here.
