I have gotten
around to posting some pumpkin photo's...they may take to long to download
for dialup'ers. In any event, they are here.

You said it John,
there is no place like Home for Christmas. All is great.
Love Aunt Patty
p.s. Where
is everyone? Stephen, Brenda, Ann Marie, Tommy and Mary Ellen and so on;;
Hi All,
Hope this finds everyone well. As usual a busy fall. As some may or may not know, Giulia and I are parents of a 9 week old (Adam Marcello William Kingston, born on our anniversary Aug 30). Overall, a very good baby who is adored by his family. Has just started to tease us by sleeping 6 hrs at night so am feeling somewhat human.
Work has been busy. Unlike past job I am helping this company make some money and land some opportunities. The bad side of this has meant some travel (2 weeks straight in the San Francisco area). Made it home in time for Halloween. When not working, I am manager/trainer of Spencer's hockey team (playing Atom House League A this year), cheering Mia on in gymnastics/ringette and Ren in Gymnastics and swimming.
We are hosting Adam's baptism this weekend so this will be busy. Christmas sees us around the Ottawa area so likely dinner with Carol and her family and likely up to Sudbury if Sudbury does not come to us.
Had our first skiff of snow this week but rain took it away. Cold weather is here to stay I think.

Happy Remembrance
Day to all. Sorry I don't jot more in here more often but I lurk
every few days! I envy your trip to NB at Xmas John I am sure you
will have a great time.

Hi All:
I celebrated
my 40th birthday yesterday. I awoke to find 40 grey hairs on my front
lawn with a huge sign announcing that I was now "old". I plan on
getting even with my father-in-law when he turns 75 in April and my brother-in-law,
Erik, when he turns 45 in five years. (Erik made me swear that I would
squash any attempts by the family to put anything on his lawn last July!)
We had an open house here for neighbours, friends and relatives. The latter was represented by John Kingston and his daughters, Stephanie and Leslie. I was really pleased that they came! Our house was full and loud just as any usual Kingston Party.
In the evening,
Pat and I went out to the Golf club with some friends for a Caribbean night.
We all showed our age by confessing that we wanted to home by 11pm. I think
that I am aging Pat!
Best wishes,
JoAnn

Thank you John!
I am off to Thunder Bay this morning to visit Mark and his ever growing clan. Benjamin and Monika are being looked after by their Opa, Heiner. Everyone is a bit amused by this. I hope that he survives! Their Aunt Birgit will look after them for the rest of the weekend. Benjamin and Monika are really excited (and so is mommy, but don't tell them!) ;-) Best wishes, JoAnn

If you look closely,
that red line is on the left side of 200. A year ago, it was on the
right side of 235.

Hey Tom,
A foot makeover
and you are all set!
John
Tom,
Congrats. We are the ever shrinking clan--John is looking wonderful and I have lost 40 LBS since Christmas, Jayson has lost 5o lbs. We are keeping the economy running with the purchase of new clothes and better food choices.

Hi:
I just back from
visiting my brother, Mark, and family in Thunder Bay. Mark is also
in a self-improvement mode by having quit smoking four weeks ago.
He is a bit witchy, but he seems to be determined. His little guy,
John Henry, is so cute. A guy came up to Mark during the Christmas
parade and told him he had a very cute little girl. I tell ya it
warmed Mark's cranky heart! ;-) JoAnn
One month and
I am Miramichi bound. A good driving Miramichi snowstorm just might
be what my senses need! Then again, when I think of delivering milk on
the North Napan Road in a good driving snowstorm, maybe not! (You'll
note I have been having fun with a real audio library of late - I leave
you with a milk truck tune..:-)
John
Witchy, JoAnn?
I am shocked. That was week four, you should have seen week one.
Twenty plus years of smoking it is quite a shock to the system to go cold
turkey. Talk to you soon. Keep dad in your thoughts, he is getting
his new knee on Tuesday.
HI:
I called Mom
this morning and Dad was doing ok. He did get the half a knee as
planned. Mom appreciated all the visitors which included Aunt Monica.
Hi,
I have been battling
a cold so I did not go into he hospital, but I did talk to talk last night
on the phone. He is in quite a bit of pain and I understand that
he cannot tolerate the morphine they had been giving him. He was
up and around a bit yesterday. It will only get better from here.
