Funny
story regarding all this Flames Hoopla...I am in Milpitas California
this week (just outside San Jose) and met an ex-Canuck friend for
dinner/drinks at a sports bar.
a) at least a dozen Canadians in the area on business watching the game
b) at least a half-dozen ex-pats like my friend watching the game
Needless to say Tampa winning sucked! But it was nice to see some
old timers like Andreychuk and Taylor get their shot at hoisting Lord
Stanley's finest. To think of where Calgary was a year ago and
being Stanley Cup finalists now is quite an accomplishment. Only
better things ahead.
The Ottawa Kingstons will be in NB the week after Canada day and to a
person are all excited about the journey. Sharon's kids will be
home at the same time so it will be great for the kids to meet some kin
they don't get a chance to see often (as well as re-acquaint themselves
with David's thressome). Will try to post some photos after our
return.
I am sure there are many other Kingston families far and wide with
their own vacation plans which would be interesting to hear about. So
start posting!! John has only so many trading post stories to share!
Ottawa Kingston's shall be the first to commit to the 2005 communinion
(I mean reunion). Hopefully many more from near and "away" can
make the trip as well. Happily willing to outbid Aunt Bernadette
for the camp next door!! (sorry Bernie it's my father speaking through
me that makes me say this!!).
Spencer still talks about the great number of frogs he caught. tubing
and other fun by the shore last time. Hopefully will see all
aunts and uncles in good health and spirits while in Miramichi this
summer and next.

I have great news about mom (Eleanor). Mom got some results back today and it seems she has a gallstone...so this is what has been giving her chest pain. No angina how great! Bonnie

That is terrific news Bonnie. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Do you know if your parents are planning to come to NB this summer?

Hi Mary Ellen, Mom is here right now and they are planning on going down to NB the last week of July or the first week of August. It will depend on when mom's surgery will be. I will let you know when I know. Bonnie

I don't know about anywhere else in Canada, but for the first day of summer it is pretty cold....only 15 degrees. Hope everyone had a warmer day than Ontario. Bonnie
Message from Bonnie at :
Maybe
I should go out to BC to find the warmth. I've been thinking
about turning our heat back on...I can't believe Tom is only now
getting a/c. Tom you need to get up with the times. You
sound like you starting to live like my dad (Joe Kingston)...who still
wears his long johns year round:) Bonnie

Bonnie,
I wish I had a reason to have A/C in my
house. You might need it 4 times a year in Calgary. The temp has been
between 18 & 21c with rain showers all this week.
