100% INCREASE IN ASTHMA IN CHILDREN SINCE 1980
US STUDY

Improving Indoor Air Quality

HEPA AIR FILTERS

HEPA

Invented By US Atomic Energy Commission during WWII.
• Specially designed HEPA filters to remove air borne radioactive contaminants
• Early applications include hospital isolation rooms
• Pharmaceutical and computer chip manufacturing applications requiring  “absolute filtration”.

“Out of curiosity, I contacted the Victoria General Hospital and they confirmed they do in fact use HEPA filters for various areas within the institution when absolute filtration is required.".

Residential applications

“The problem with residential air filters to date including HEPA filters is that they typically only protect a small area like a room.  At Bay Systems, our feeling is why not have healthier air everywhere in the house?

This is a diagram showing our whole house HEPA filter system.  As you can see, the system is connected to the return air duct near your furnace.  1/3 to ½ of your returning air is diverted into our large HEPA filter and then the resulting clear air is redirected back to the return air duct.

(PRESENT ROOM SIZED FILTER and PARTICLE COUNTER)

This is your typical room sized HEPA air filter system that you may see in stores.  Again, this is only designed to protect a very small area.  What I would know is go through your house and take a count of the particle matter here in your home.  When we come back, I would then take a sample of the air coming through the HEPA and compare the two.

(TYPICAL ROOM COUNT WITH BE 700,000 PARTICLES PRESENT, AND HEPA TEST SHOULD BE CLOSE TO ZERO PARTICLES).

(PRESENT HEPA 350 SERIES FILTER)

We offer three different sized systems depending on the square footage of your home.  To give you an indication of just how large our whole house filters are, I thought I would bring along a sample of our 350 series filter.  (Hand them filter to feel its weight and texture).

PRICE OBJECTIONS

Can I ask you how about how many rooms you have here in your home?  Let's say you wanted to clean the air throughout the whole house and decided to use room air cleaners.  A quality room air cleaner would cost you about $175.00.  Now, if you have six rooms, that's $1000 dollars in cleaners.  Now, what you really have to consider however is how often you have to replace the HEPA filters in six room cleaners and at what cost.  A typical HEPA room cleaner filter can run about $100.  That means you will spend an additional $600 per year replacing the filters annually - that's $3000 in just five years.  When you consider our largest filter is $550 however last's five years the savings is really evident!
